Tipsy Captain
An interactive hero greets you with the bar's whimsy, then the events and the menu are right there.
A short brief: make it feel like the place.
Tipsy Captain is a whimsical harbour bar in Lahti with a cartoonish pirate at its heart. The brief was short. They wanted a site that shows the whimsical feel of the restaurant and works as the main home for event advertising and the menu.
So we gave it three jobs in order: brand, menu, events. An interactive hero sets the tone the moment you arrive, then the events, then the menu, so a visitor finds what they came for in seconds and gets a little entertained on the way.
- 01Show the whimsy on arrival
- 02Make the menu effortless to find
- 03Put events front and centre
- 04Entertain without slowing anyone down
✦What if a simple info site could still feel like walking into the place?
Whimsy you feel, facts you reach in seconds.
Character first
The pirate's whimsy meets you in an interactive hero, so the bar's personality lands before any text does.
Fast to the facts
Events and the menu sit right where people look, so anyone finds what they came for in seconds.
Play in the interaction
The fun lives in how the page moves, never in the way of the facts a visitor came to read.
From “nice vibe” to “see you at 22:00.”
