Chaink
A disc-golf tool that just works, built for weekly players and wrapped in a brand that knows exactly who it's for. Disc Golf, Together.
The vision was simple. A disc-golf tool that just works.
Chaink set out to be easy to use, cheap, with no ads and no hidden costs. It's built for the hobbyists who play once or twice a week, not for the pros and not for the people who pick up a disc twice a summer. Its tagline says it all: Disc Golf, Together.
The bespoke response started with the app, then grew a whole brand around it. A naturalist palette drawn from the colours strong in the sport, a tongue-in-cheek tone that says the game is meant to be fun and social, usually played with friends and a couple of drinks. The marketing reads modern, professional and genuinely usable.
- 01Easy, cheap, no ads, no hidden costs
- 02Made for weekly hobbyists, not pros
- 03Modern, professional, genuinely usable
- 04App, data and brand as one project
✦What if the product, the data and the brand were one project, not three?
A brand that knows exactly who it's for.
A naturalist palette
The colours come from the sport itself, the greens and earth tones that are strong out on the course. The look belongs outdoors.
A tongue-in-cheek tone
The game is meant to be fun and social, usually played with friends and a couple of drinks. The voice plays along.
Usability first
Clean, fast and obvious. Whatever the tone, the product has to just work the moment you open it.

A design system & manageable content
- A shared component library for site and app.
- Manage marketing content and announcements yourself.
- Add courses and update copy without a release.
- New features slot into the system as it grows.
The design system keeps every screen on-brand as the product scales; manageable content means the marketing site moves at the speed of the roadmap. Less rework, faster shipping.
Product strategy
Shaping what to build, and why.
Marketing site
The one-scroll pitch for Chaink.
Companion app
Rounds, stats, crews and lobbies.
Design system
One language across site and app.
We came to Wihmo with a messy idea and left with a product that actually feels like Chaink. The app, the data and the brand were built as one thing, not three, and you feel it every time you open it.
